Everyone Loves Raymond
Today, I was watching Everyone Loves Raymond at 6:30pm. Its the episode when Debra convinces Raymond to work from home. On his first day working at home, Debra comes home after getting some groceries and asks Raymond to help put get them from the car. Raymond's mother, Marie (who is always around uninvited), offers to help Debra so Raymond can go back to his home office to work. If you haven't seen the show, Marie is always making little remarks about how Debra can't cook or clean. Marie then proceeds to pick up a package of cookies and says to Debra "Cookies in a log package?...Well that's almost baking, isn't it?"
This comment from Marie reminded me of how some people feel about premade packaged doughs. Some older people wouldn't consider these kind of cookies to be baking because you aren't doing the work. Baking to them is putting love and time into making the dough from scratch. People nowadays are busy and baking cookies from a "log package" is baking to them.

I definatly agree and disagree with that thought in different ways. Cookies from the roll of dough isnt exactly baking. But it is definatly easy and it still tastes way better than cookies from a package. But i know one thing those tubes of dough are good for and thats eating it raw!
