raw cookie dough
Raw cookie dough is soooooooo delicious! Everyone says "oh don't eat it raw, you will get Salmonella poisoning!" The raw eggs put in the cookie dough may contain salmonella. I am pretty sure I am not the only one that likes to eat raw cookie dough. I have never gotten salmonella poisoning but even if I did, I think I would still risk eating raw cookie dough.
Oh but good news for you cookie dough eaters! Packaged cookie dough uses pasteurized eggs which virtually eliminates the risk of salmonella poisoning. This is also why its safe to eat chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. So yay for pasteurized eggs making our life more delicious and safe!

I have to agree with you...raw cookie dough is the best! I usually only end up making half the batch of the packaged cookie dough because I will end up eating the rest of it. I had always heard about Salmonella poisoning but neglected the need for concern. Thanks for putting my mind at ease though with the information that the packaged cookie dough uses pasteurized eggs. This is news to celebrate!
